Interdisciplinary Design
With Innovation
Responding to real-world needs through collaboration across disciplines,
advancing design innovation and bringing ideas into practice.
Company Overview
An interdisciplinary aesthetic
in design practice
Founded in 2003, Qingmei Future focuses on interdisciplinary design and innovation. Our research and practice respond to real needs across industry and everyday life.
For each project, we bring together knowledge and methods from design, technology, business and user research. Shared goals guide problem analysis, concept development and staged validation, with clear roles and handoffs across disciplines.
An interdisciplinary approach to aesthetics distinguishes Qingmei Future’s practice. We apply aesthetic judgment across form, expression, interaction and environment, coordinating media, disciplines and contexts to create coherent experiences defined by clarity and quality.
We assess technical feasibility, performance in use and implementation requirements through specialist research and practical validation. Within each project’s scope, we translate outcomes into products, brands, services, digital systems or spaces—supporting business innovation and improvements to everyday life.

Research and Problem Definition
We examine user needs, market conditions and technical constraints to establish project goals and the key challenges to address.
Activities: stakeholder interviews, desk research and scope definitionInterdisciplinary Concept Development
Relevant disciplines work together to analyze challenges and develop concepts, balancing user experience, design expression and implementation requirements.
Activities: concept exploration, specialist reviews and design iterationValidation and Implementation Support
We test prototypes and user experiences against stage objectives, using feedback to refine designs, support implementation and hand over deliverables.
Activities: staged validation, implementation support and documentation handoverWe define audiences, contexts and intended outcomes, turning specific challenges into clear design briefs.
We clarify the disciplines involved, responsibilities and decision criteria to connect research, design and implementation.
We consider the relationships between form, expression, interaction and environment, maintaining design quality throughout interdisciplinary collaboration.
We validate designs against stage objectives, using feedback and implementation requirements to test proposals and continually refine our judgment.
Professional judgment
guides our use of AI
We use AI to support information review, creative exploration and design iteration. Key decisions remain with the project team, informed by professional expertise, practical constraints and validation results. We clearly define where outcomes can be applied and what further work is required.
Aesthetic judgment considers the relationships between form, expression, interaction and environment. Engineering performance, manufacturing requirements and commercial impact are researched and validated using the methods of the relevant disciplines.
